Eclipse Double-Seal Box Gutter Fitting Instructions
Step 1
Place internal jointer inside the box gutter. For now, slide it away from the joint as this will be sealed later.
Step 2
Put two lines of silicone sealant approximately 1/3 of the width from each edge of the external jointer.
Step 3
Feed the external jointer onto the gutter approximately half way along the width of the jointer.
Step 4
Slide the next gutter into the external jointer leaving a 5-8mm gap between the gutters. Smooth off the sealant in the centre.
Step 5
Place a bead of sealant approximately 40mm to the left of the 5-8mm gap. Move the internal jointer across this bead of sealant.
Step 6
Place another bead of sealant approximately 40mm to the right of the 5-8mm gap. Move the jointer back across this bead of sealant and align the centre of the internal jointer on top of the 5-8mm gap.
Step 7
Ensure that sealant is showing on all sides of the internal jointer (add extra sealant if there are gaps).
Step 8
Smooth off the sealant with your finger.
Step 9
Press clip over the joint. Make sure the flat side goes over the back of the gutter.
Step 10
The clip will hold both jointers and the gutter together whilst the sealant cures.
